Are there side effects if you're eating healthy?

My observation from talking to people, is the worst side effects - nausea, vomiting and loose bowels - only happen to people who eat too many rich and fatty foods and stick to their usual huge portion sizes. The side effects are a ‘telling off’ the medication gives you.
They say that if you eat a proper healthy diet and keep portion sizes small, you shouldn't get those. Heartburn is possible though.
And constipation is very common because the drugs slow the passage of food through your body so you have to drink loads of water and meet daily fibre targets (30g), and you might need a fibre supplement or even a mild laxative. What's everyone's thoughts?

I reckon it's way better if you eat well and not too much - thats my experience. Water is super important. There's loads of content on this site with help - as well as the chats. And booze - limit that! the hangovers are terrible if you don't!!

Agree the healthier you can eat whilst on MJ the better your experience and should help reduce side effects, but like any drug I imagine you might see a some side effects.

Agree. In my experience the more I moved away from my old habits and developed healthier ones the less side effects I had. It's like going through an unhealthy life cold turkey otherwise 🤣

I think there is definitely something to this. When I cleaned up my diet and cut back on portion sizes the nausea got much easier to handle. Constipation was still an issue for me even with more fibre so I ended up using a mild laxative a few times. Drinking enough water made a big difference too. I see side effects more as signals than punishments. The medication is doing its job but our bodies still need time to adjust.

Yes, I agree with a lot of this thread - it does help when you alter you habits to healtheir ones....but I do notice that when I go up a dose the side effects appear/worsen....even on a good diet etc.....but I kind of expect that
