Still feeling queasy after jab 2 – is this normal on Mounjaro?

Had my second jab of MJ this morning and the nausea is still hanging around from the first one 😩 Haven’t had much appetite at all, which I *suppose* is the point, but the queasiness is doing my head in a bit now.
I’ve dropped a few pounds already (small win!) but just wondering – does this pass? Anyone else had a similar experience around week 2?

Yes, totally get you Lottie. I felt like I was on a cross channel ferry in a storm for the first 3 weeks 😂 😩
Mine eased up by week 4. Ginger tea helped me, and weirdly so did mints. Not loads, just enough to settle it down.

I’m on week 3 now, still having spells of nausea but nothing like the first week. I keep crackers by the bed and have nibble before I get up – sounds daft  - but it’s made mornings easier. Hang in there, you’re not alone ❤️

This is me too. I actually wondered if it was *me* or the jab. Glad (ish?) to hear it’s a common thing. I’ve found cold food sits better – yoghurt, berries, that sort of thing.
Hot meals have been a bot of no-go for now.

Honestly, week 2 was the worst for me. Felt like I had mild food poisoning but without the food 😂!!!
It eased though – now on week 6 and doing alright.
Try not to eat just before bed, that made mine worse.

Thanks all – feeling a bit more hopeful now. Love the idea of crackers before getting up, @Sarah-Lou. I might try that tomorrow. Didn’t expect the nausea to knock me sideways like this tbh.

Hi Lottie, mine peaked at jab 2 as well. It was like clockwork – two days after the injection, I felt proper grim. But by week 3 it calmed down. Just took it slow and sipped flat lemonade for a few days.
Weight’s down about 4kg though, so swings and roundabouts eh?

I felt a bit like I’d been run over the first fortnight 😅 But now (on week 5) I’ve got more energy than I’ve had in ages. So it *does* settle. I actually almost gave up, but I’m super glad I stuck with it. Top tip!!! Salted popcorn weirdly helped me??

Little wins! That’s what it’s about. I celebrate every week I don’t cave and go back to the chocolate and biscuit drawer. This jab’s tough on the tummy but strong on the willpower somehow (probably the hormone effects)

It does settle, took me a month! I’ve also had minor re-occurrences when going up to a higher dose, but only really for the first two shots of the higher dose.

Yes, someone told me it takes 4 doses of higher dosage to get used to it 👍

Yes I think it varies from person to person how long the nausea feeling lasts for.  A friend and I have been on it for the same length of time as me and he hasn’t been so bothered by the nausea but it certainly has affected me.  I guess it’s the trade off for consistent weight loss and that feeling you get when you are starting to see results on the scales.  I found that ginger based products, Greek yogurt and toast were good for me in the mornings when I was feeling sick.
