It's shocking that this is allowed, especially in prescription drugs. You aren't supposed to just stop taking it so even if people can't afford it they will have to pay high prices just to come off it.All the cheaper suppliers are out of stock and I have heard that some promo codes aren't working. I'm really angry about this!

I tried to buy yesterday to get at least my nx month at the current price and the site just kept crashing … 😔

im worried that this price rise will cause “fake” product to be sold to meet demand

im really worried now given the news this week about dramatic price increases

ive been so happy on MJ and making progress on my journey - gutted…what this will do to my future journey

will I even be able to buy it again due to supply / price

I could make the argument to buy the drugs privately because I found I ate less, stopped drinking pretty much so Although I was paying £200 a month I was not spending as much in other ways. Now though if these price hikes are going to be as high as people say there is no way I will be able to continue - the costs is like another mortgage. I was actually becoming less of problem for the NHS but now if this sets me back weight-wise Im going to be dependent on them again! It shouldn't be allowed

I’m really shocked by this - I’ve just come off MJ after 9 months, but I came off thinking that I could go back on if things started to slide out of control for me. Now I’m not at all sure I’d be prepared to spend the extra money, so I’m wondering slightly what the future will bring. I’ll have to double down on my efforts to keep the weight off I think. I also feel bad that I have encouraged a lot of people to give it a go and now they probably won’t be able to afford it.

Just read the new SlimrChat piece on the September Mounjaro price rise and wow, it is a mess. Lilly has jacked up the list price by 170 percent but that is not what we actually hand over. Pharmacies are all over the shop, some charging sky high, others putting out prices that look too good to be real.

The article reckons annual costs could easily double. Even on the cheap end you are looking at more than three grand a year, and in some cases closer to five. No wonder people are talking about jumping to Wegovy or giving up.

Crazy thing is even after this hike we are still paying less than the US where it runs £700 to £900 a month.

Anyone had a straight answer from their pharmacy yet?

I'm not worrying yet because I saw on Reddit that people are saying the pharmacies will be really aggressive on pricing so it might not be too bad. I wonder whether those prices are based on new customer first prescription offers or referrals? We all know how much some people have saved with MedExpress referrals - that has been totally crazy.

Just seen an update from Oxford Online Pharmacy. They are saying they expect Mounjaro monthly prices to rise by around 30 to 70 percent. They stress this is only a provisional estimate and could change, but at least it gives us a ballpark idea of where they think things are heading.

Worth keeping an eye on their site to see what the final numbers land at. Has anyone else spotted other pharmacies giving out early guidance like this?

@timbalanced thx. I worried about affording any price increase. It all feels so cruel. I'm off to Wegovy I think

Please be careful everyone. I know we are all concerned about these price hikes and lack of availability but dont risk your health by buying off some random who contacts you claiming they have cheap stock. They could be selling literally anything. I keep getting these messages and i bet everyone else is. Its better to go without than risk your health!!
