I want move to maintenance at some point when I reach my weight goal but I have heard that finding a provider is difficult as many pharmacies stop prescribing once your BMI drops below 30 (or 27 with comorbidities). What is the situation? I'm guessing it is more straight forward if you stick with your present provider but more difficult if you move. I think I want to move becasue I can get MJ cheaper at lower maintenance doses elsewhere. Any advice would be welcome, I can see this situation trap affects quite a few people. Thanks

Yes to sustain your weight will need a stable Monj maintenance dose. In theory pharmacies stop prescribing once your BMI drops below 30 (or 27 if you have other health issues)....but many UK pharmacies support maintenance. I think you will find each pharmacy sets its own clinical criteria. Be prepared to share things like BMI, weight history, treatment response and overall health etc. Someone mentioned to me that Parmulous accepts lower BMI for maintenance, and just looked on their website and they claim to maintain at 19 BMI!!! Link here BTW I cant verify Pharmulous ...I don't know anything about them. Bottom line is that you shouldn't have too many problems - perhaps first check with your present provider. Good luck!
