Has anyone noticed changes in their breath since being on Mounjaro? I’m 8 months in and taking 10mg. I brush my teeth twice a day and floss and use mouthwash - always have had good oral hygiene - but now by the evening I need to brush my teeth asap to get rid of bad breath. my appetitte is reduced and I don't eat 'smelly' foods really.....but this happens like clockwork!

Yep, I've got that too.
When I wake up in the morning my mouth tastes horrible. I haven't suffered a great deal of side effects though.

I find that I’d get dry mouth at night because I sleep on my back and my jaw relaxes a little. Dry mouth, exacerbated by a little dehydration that goes along with MJ, means that bacteria can flourish in your mouth. I started rinsing with UltraDex after brushing my teeth before I got it bed and first thing in the morning. There’s a product called CB12 spray I have just ordered to keep breath fresh and also Xylimelts for dry mouth.

Yes my husband told me about 3 months into MJ that my breath smelt. It wasn't anything I was doing wrong and I do wonder if it was ketosis. I kept mints on me for social occasions, but he has confirmed it has gone away now so it probably was ketosis.

I thought I was going mad. My dentist found nothing wrong but the smell was awful 🤢

Pur xylitol gum helps, but I’m still self-conscious.
