Anyone having issues disposing of their sharps bin? I googled but i still haven't got rid of it - local council claim they do but actually doing it is a different story

I took it to Boots but  they don’t take sharps collections anymore. Even the GP wouldn't take it and said to go to the hospital!!! HELP

Honestly, why is this so hard to dispose of properly? HELP!!!! 😡

Yep - it really does vary by area.

Used needles shouldn’t go in household waste. The usual route is to contact your council for sharps/clinical waste collection. If that gets you nowhere, ask your GP or prescriber who handles it locally.

So no, you’re not imagining it. It’s oddly inconsistent.

SuperDrug is normally ok. Pharmacies have to take them I think. Sometimes they claim to have no space in the bin!!!
