Having recently injected my sleep hasn’t been good, anyone else found this?
Yes, for a few days after injecting I wake up at 3 am and can’t get back to sleep. You reckon it’s the MJ? Wonder if it’s a known side effect?
Did a bit more digging across the forums. People are saying they have the same issue - 🤨 . Maybe to do with the appetite change, hormones etc.
That’s good to know, thank you. I was just speaking with my friend and mentioned it and she has had the same and she said that following the diet advice ie minimise alcohol, fatty foods etc combined with daily exercise has helped improve her sleep whilst taking the drug. So looks like I’lll be upping my exercise as I’ve been good with food and alcohol.
Yep, I had exactly the same thing when I first started – wide awake at silly o’clock 😩 Think it’s quite common, especially early on. I’ve found getting out for a proper walk every day has helped loads, definitely some kind of light exercise. Also try changing the time of day you inject - some say not to inject too late in the day – not sure if that’s scientific, but it seems to help!
That’s a good tip, I had been doing in the evening so I’ll try earlier in the day, thank you 😀
Glad I found this thread – I’ve had the same issue and was wondering if it was just me! First couple of weeks on MJ, I’d be wide awake at like 3 or 4am, just staring at the ceiling. Super frustrating.
For me, a few things started to help:
Injecting in the morning instead of evening – like others have said, no idea if it’s officially recommended, but I sleep better when I do it earlier.
Getting some daylight early in the day – sounds basic but a morning walk really helps reset your sleep rhythm.
And I cut back on scrolling before bed – wasn’t easy but it did help me wind down better.
Seems like sleep gets thrown off a bit while your body adjusts to the meds. Good to know we’re not alone in this – keep sharing what works for you all, it really helps 👍
