UK Mounjaro prices - updated

For the full background on how the price increase was set in motion, see our original analysis: What will the new price of Mounjaro be after September’s hike?

Updated announced prices vs. our original estimates

On August 18 and 24, SlimrChat published estimated ranges for each Mounjaro dose after Eli Lilly announced its price increase. These estimates were based on UK list prices, rebates, expected pharmacy margins, and competitive pressures.

As of 26 August 2025, approximately one-third of UK online pharmacies have announced prices that land comfortably within these predicted ranges.

High and Low estimate and Avg announced (26 Aug 2025)

While the averages confirm the accuracy of our forecast, the wide spread between the lowest and highest prices also highlights the importance of patients comparing providers before making a commitment.

Chart: Predicted ranges vs. announced averages

To help visualise the situation, SlimrChat has charted the predicted low–to–high price range for each dose alongside the average announced prices available as of August 26, 2025.

Key observations from the chart:

  • Announced averages are clustering in the lower half of our predicted ranges.

  • The spread between low and high estimates is significant, showing why patients should shop around.

  • Many larger pharmacies have not yet published their prices, so averages may shift further.

Why this matters for patients

The Daily Mail later picked up SlimrChat’s early analysis, reflecting the significant national attention the issue of private prescription pricing has garnered.

We will continue to update our analysis with the latest announced prices, allowing SlimrChatters to track developments in real-time.

As SlimrChat co-founder Robert Price explains: “We have a lot of worried community members, and our role is to make this process easier for them. No single person can track all the changes, but together we can build a clearer picture. This helps people make real-life decisions about their health and their money.”
