Mounjaro UK prices after September: what the real picture looks like

When Eli Lilly announced a Mounjaro price hike on 14 August 2025, headlines warned of a 170% increase. The news caused stress and confusion for many in our community. Would treatment become unaffordable overnight?
Together, the SlimrChat community has gathered real price data from 70 online pharmacies. This article sets out what the new prices look like after the hike took effect on 1 September.
How we got here
SlimrChat has followed the Mounjaro price story since mid-August. First came the 170% headline, then the pharmacy confusion, followed by speculation about the final prices. Now, with community data from 70 online pharmacies, we can confirm the facts.
What we found
The actual increases are significant, but not 170%. Lower doses rose by 16–24%. Higher doses jumped by 40–50%, or about £100 per dose.

Prices before and after
Here is the bigger picture. We compared the lowest, highest, and average price per dose before and after the hike.
Before the hike, average prices ranged from £145 for 2.5mg to £209 for 15mg. The cheapest and most expensive pharmacies were already far apart.
After the hike, prices remain spread far apart. For the 15mg dose, the cheapest pharmacy charges £260, while the most expensive charges £450 – almost £200 more. This underlines why it is so important to benchmark your own price.
