Peter Paumgardhen

Born and raised in Sweden, Peter is a family man at heart, with grown-up kids and a renewed appreciation for “free time”. He grew up doing competitive sports and still rates working out as one of life’s simplest pleasures (that keeps you healthy as a bonus!).

He has a long-running soft spot for Britain, for its culture, humour and people. It began with those “mandatory” language school trips many young Swedes did, then later work took him back often, until the UK simply felt familiar.

Like many people, Peter has had seasons where life was full on: career, travel, deadlines, the whole juggle - sometimes resulting in unwanted weight gain. In those periods, staying in shape was not always easy. Add a serious love of good food and he has ended up with an honest relationship with weight, habits, and what it takes to feel well, not just look well.

That is a big part of why SlimrChat matters to him. Peter is interested in the practical side of weight-loss treatments and how you build a lifestyle that lasts. His focus is helping people with no background in resistance training get started and stick with it. Without intimidation or gym-bro nonsense. He believes in small steps, doable routines, and progress that makes everyday life easier. Food matters too, and he is fascinated by how people can eat in ways that support energy and strength, without turning it into perfection or punishment.

More recently, Peter has become especially interested in longevity and the distinction between healthspan and lifespan. Lifespan is how long you live. Healthspan is how long you stay strong, capable, and genuinely well.

At SlimrChat, Peter helps shape community-led conversations that are warm, helpful and judgement-free. Lastly, he is keen to point out that he is not a “perfect health” person. He believes in balance and that a little bit of what you fancy does you good, so he will happily talk strength training and protein and still raise a glass to living well.
