I think I need to start doing something about making some muscles. I've now lost 14kg since October but I'm worried that I'll put it all back on when I stop. My mate said I've got to do muscle buildign stuff. I hate going to gyms. I've joined a few over the years. Reckon I'll do stuff at home and outside when its warmer. Anyone got tips or exercises to share????

First off – 14kg down since October is epic. Respect 👏 And yeah, your mate’s right – building some muscle now is a solid move, helps keep the weight off long term and makes you feel stronger overall. I’m not a gym guy either, never stuck with it. But home + outdoors totally works. Here's what’s been working for me

Bodyweight stuff to start – squats, push-ups, planks, lunges. You don’t need equipment, just your body and a bit of floor space.

Resistance bands – cheap, easy to store, and great for building strength without big weights.

Hill walks or weighted walks – grab a backpack, stick a few books in, and go for a decent-paced walk. Great for legs and cardio.

Failing all that check out YouTube – loads of decent 20–30 min beginner strength workouts. I like the ones with no jumping or equipment, makes it easier to stick to......

Biggest thing is just to start small and stay consistent – even 15–20 mins a couple of times a week adds up. You've done the hard part losing the weight. Now it’s about locking it in - go for it!
