Hi all, i couldn't see much in the chat rooms on tiredness. I know it is a common thing but I feel tired all the time. Any tips or tricks people have found - especially to help with afternoon exhaustion. I do suffer from anemia so have been taking ironn pills, vitamins C and B12
Hey – yep, I totally relate to this. I don't feel tired all the time but the mid-afternoon slump hits me hard some days.
I’ve found a few little things help: I switched to having a high-protein breakfast (like Greek yoghurt and seeds or eggs on toast) which i find gives me more stable energy through the day. I also make sure I get outside for even 10 mins around lunch — even just a walk round the block makes a difference.
Also lots of water! I didn’t realise how little I was drinking until I tracked it for a week. Upping my fluids really helped.
You’re definitely not alone with this one x
A bit the same here but tiredness really crept in around week 5 for me. I found a few things helped:
- I started spacing my meals/snacks a bit better so I wasn’t running on empty by 3pm. Bit of protein mid-morning and mid-afternoon helps me stay upright.
- Swapped coffee for a short walk or cold water splash when I hit the wall — I know!...but it works.
- Also got my iron checked again because even with supplements, I was still low. Worth a recheck if you're still knackered.
It’s frustrating but with all this stuff you tweak a few things and it does improve. Stick with it
o*g yes same here 😩 i feel like i could nap standing up some days lol. afternoons are the WORST. I tried swapping lunch from a sandwich to like, chicken + avo salad and it weirdly helped?? also started doing 5 min "stretch breaks" from youtube and now I swear by it 😂 not saying I’ve cracked it but every lil thing adds up 💪 hang in there!
Thanks everyone - update....I found really concentrating on eating the right stuff....so healthy diet + loads of water, less coffees and more herbal teas (= more loo breaks 🤣 🤣 ) and some light exercise helped 👍
