Has anyone ever experienced sore skin while on Mounjaro? My skin at the top of my hip is sore to the touch, almost like a raw feeling. It’s not near where I’ve done the shot, and there’s no redness or bruising. Just sore.

That is odd. I haven’t had that exactly, but I did get a weird tender patch just under my rib a few weeks back. Lasted a few days then vanished. Wonder if it’s something to do with fluid shifts or inflammation?

I had something kinda similar behind my knee – like my skin was just raw. No rash or bruising either. It went away on its own after a few days. Didn’t connect it to the treatment, but who knows!

Yes! Thought it was just me. I had a patch near my shoulder blade that felt bruised to the touch but looked totally normal. Came and went within a week. I wonder if it’s something to do with how our nerves are reacting?

I haven't experienced this but I have heard it is a thing....it seems to be quite common....but nothing serious from I've seen alsewhere.

Could it be from sleeping weird? I’ve been getting more restless sleep since I started the jabs and sometimes wake up with strange aches or sore spots I didn’t have the night before

I’m a bit of a health nerd and was reading that some people get these sensitivity flares because of the way the meds affect blood sugar and hydration. No clue if that’s true but maybe worth checking in with your GP if it keeps happening.

Thanks all – really appreciate the replies. It’s still tender today but not getting worse. I’ll see how it goes over the weekend, and maybe ring the GP if it’s still bothering me next week....although as we all know ringing a GP gets you absolutely nowhere 😞 Reassuring that it doesn't seem to be something to overluy worry about but it does hurt..

Yes - I experienced a kind of tender/sore skin feeling around my elbows and backs of my upper arms - no rash or bruising. It lasted a couple of weeks but was definitely a thing. Not had it since. I’ve been on Mounjaro since July ‘24, this occurred after 5 months usage I guess. Dose was 5mg then. I’ve been up and down a dose since then but no re-occurrence so far.

I had something like that on my lower side – felt bruised but nothing to see. It passed in a few days. Seems like these random sore spots aren’t that unusual on Mounjaro. Just good to keep an eye on and mention if it keeps coming back.
